We have some very exciting news to share with you! Ms. Stenhjem, Mrs. Burns and the McLane PTSO are teaming up to put on a Virtual Talent Show that will be held on April 23rd at 7:00pm! Due to the ongoing battle with Covid 19, we are not able to hold our beloved Theater program this year. However, we thought this might be a fun way for the students to engage in something that showcases their talents, passions and creativity! The deadline for entries is April 2nd!All students (including our amazing Life Skills students) are encouraged to participate and show off their talent for up to 3 minutes in duration. They can sing, dance, play an instrument, present an artwork they have created, read a poem, show off a lego build, magic tricks, etc. Anything goes as long as it’s safe, age appropriate and parent/guardian approved.
The format will be Live on Zoom and we are grateful to Mrs. Burns as she has volunteered to put the show together for us. We are asking students to submit their entries (recorded on your own devices) to Mrs. Burns directly via email or if it is a photo of an artwork (please also include a photo of the artist and title of the art piece) to Mrs. Stenhjem’s email. If the student would like to present their art themselves, then they can also submit it via video to Mrs. Burns. The deadline for talent entries is April 2nd.When presenting your talent, make sure to introduce yourself, say your grade and tell us what you will be doing. Example: ”My name is _____, I am in the 5th grade and I am going to sing Let It Go from Frozen.”If your kiddo is doing a musical offering and in need of some suggestions for a song check out the fun links below!
