McLane Gardens & Trail

The McLane Garden and Trail Committee is dedicated to the upkeep of the paved trail around the school grounds. It’s part of the Ralph Munro Trail that continues towards The Evergreen State College. We also have several garden beds on our campus.

The Committee meetings via Zoom for 2024-2025 will be determined.

McLane School Gardens

You don’t have to have a green thumb or a master gardener to jump on board, you don’t even have to pretend to enjoy the wonders of gardening! We’ve got more garden beds on our school grounds and there’s plenty of things that can be done to help our school gardens to thrive.

A school garden is a fantastic and complete teaching tool that allows educators to use hands-on experiences to teach everything from math and science to art and reading. In fact, there isn’t anything that can’t be taught from a garden WA State Dept of Agriculture.
